  • The title card of this episode might be a reference to the Nickelodeon game show, “Legends of the Hidden Temple.
  • Javier and the Skateboard Tribe are a reference to Rufio and the Lost Boys from the 1991 Tristar Pictures film, Hook.
    • Ironically enough, Rufio and Javier are both portrayed by Dante Basco. The only difference between the two is that Rufio redeems himself while Javier doesn't.
  • Victor's full name is revealed in this episode by Valentino: "Victor Guadalupe Marine Laguna Calaca Calavera!"
