She is a girl with long black hair who made her debut in the episode Dead Ringer as one of the kids that Victor picks for his team. Over time, she formed a strong connection with Valentino, and eventually began dating him in The Matchmaker. The 3rd mid-season finale Starry Eyes highlights how little Valentino knows about her, leading to a rift in their relationship for it was ultimately revealed that she is a Tzitzimime day-walker called a Ītzpāpālōtl. She sadly was turned into a star by Tez in the 3rd season finale Fall of the Fifth Sun.
Appearance[]
True Form[]
Isabella is a large, skeletal monster with eyes on her wrists, elbows, knees, and ankles, protrusions on her back that resemble insect legs, a snake for a tail, and large butterfly wings. She wears a brown mask connected to a large headdress with hands, circular earrings with red and white fringe, and a white, single-piece dress with red bands and a heart in the center. The starry eyes are normally hidden by human disguises but appear to bleed through in emotional outbursts.
Human[]
While in her most notable disguise, Isabella has dark skin, and long black hair. Originally, she wore a purple and white sleeveless shirt and blue shorts.
From Decoding Valentino on, she wears a deep purple sleeveless shirt with a crescent moon on it, and shorts with a lighter shade of blue. She also wears socks with purple and white shoes. She wears a lavender one piece swimsuit for swimming. In Starry Eyes, she ended up cutting her hair to be shorter.
Personality[]
Isabella mostly has an easygoing and laid-back personality. She is also a tomboy as she is shown playing soccer in Victor's team, and is also shown to have a fascination with taking pictures. She is also a bit annoyed at Victor for drinking all the soda meant for the party guests as shown in the episode Chata's Quinta Quinceañera and at Baker for taunting Valentino's pictures. At the end of Decoding Valentino, she is shown to have a crush on Valentino as they blush around each other during the journey to the Glyphs. Her feelings for him only intensified as the series progressed. Starry Eyes shows us another side to her, and her insecurity about appearance, as she becomes upset and attacks Valentino after insulting it, and flees crying at the end.
In Star Child, she was shown to feel guilt over deceiving her friends, especially Valentino. She was conflicted over hurting her friends for the safety of her family. She still held on to her feelings for Valentino

Valentino[]
Isabella met Valentino prior to the start of the series, when he first arrived in Monte Macabre with Victor. She took their picture for them, which she then kept away for safekeeping.
Isabella is good friends with Valentino and is very supportive of him. She shares many of his interests and is considered to be the only person in Monte Macabre that truly understands him. In The Dark Room after Valentino's admission to Baker's photography club gets rejected, Isabella encouraged Valentino to embrace his own photographic vision and pushed him to keep trying. This eventually led to them founding "The Bubblegum Factory Photo Club" together.
They are also known to engage in regular activities, such as in Fistfull Of Balloons, where she is seen sitting with Val listening to him read.
The extent of their friendship is shown in Decoding Valentino, When Valentino invited Isabella to explore the ancient library, she was both intrigued and excited to accompany him. She shows genuine concern for Valentino when he falls down the cenote, and acted kindly to him by offering him use of her flashlights. However, as their journey progressed, Valentino quickly grew jealous of Isabella's proficiency with solving puzzles, causing her to become disheartened by his frustration towards her. Isabella tried to stay kind and supportive towards Valentino, but when she got caught in the final trap, she dropped her friendly attitude and scolded Valentino for his behavior when her life was in imminent danger. This caused Valentino to realize how his attitude has been hurting her feelings, and listen to her instructions to solve the puzzle and set her free. After they make it back to the surface, Valentino thanks her and compliments her on her puzzle solving skills, causing them both to blush, indicating that they may have a mutual crush on each other.
In Starry Night, Isabella was happy to see Valentino at the Reyna's outdoor slumber party, and they enjoyed talking and laughing together until Isabella told her story about the Tzitzimime. After Isabella was seemingly freed from the Tzitzimime, Valentino called out to her to check if she was ok, and she responded by offering to go temple hunting with him again sometime. As she left, Valentino eagerly waved goodbye and saw her off, gazing amorously as she walked away.
In Plan-De-Monium, Valentino invited Isabella over for a day of fun activities together. Although she was excited to spend time with him, she also looking forward to see Victor and Chata as well. When they were listening to Valentino's jazz records, Isabella took Valentino's hand and asked him to dance, causing him to blush profusely. Unfortunately, it was cut short by Chata deciding to join in the dance. Dinner finally came, and Valentino was certain it would impress Isabella, until Chata and Victor arrived have dinner with them. To make matters worse, Cammy and Huitzi got into a fight over a mixote and Valentino ended up covered in sauce, causing Isabella to laugh and his frustration to grow. When nightfall came, the two headed to the rooftops the watch the "Tongue of Fire" Comet. Isabella commented how she never gets tired of looking at the night sky, which made Valentino blush and reply stating he does too. Valentino's anger came to a head when Victor's last magic trick ruined his telescope angle, resulting in him lashing out at everyone and subsequently missing the comet. Valentino ends up being miserable after that, but then Isabella came up and told him that he didn't have to miserable tonight. The episode ends with the two of them dancing together on the rooftop, as Valentino declared to Isabella that he was going to be more improvisational in the future
In The Matchmaker, Isabella asked Valentino to find out which person she would match with. When the two met again, Valentino tried to be honest, but was still worried that Isabella was too good for him. So he paired Isabella with Ramon instead, sending the both of them on a trajinera ride for their date. Isabella reluctantly agreed and went forward with the date. On the trajinera, Isabella was sad that she wasn't sharing the trip with the one she actually liked. Ramon then suggested that her secret crush was just shy about his feelings, which made Isabella cheer up a bit. Valentino swam onto their trajinera to break them up, much to Isabella's frustration. Valentino wanted to bring the trajinera back to shore. Isabella tried to stop him, but Valentino tripped backwards knocking them both into the water. When they returned to the shore, Isabella called Valentino out on his ignorance and told him face to face that she liked him and no one else. To Isabella's surprise, Valentino confessed that he liked her back, and how he was afraid that he wouldn't be good enough for her. Isabella held his hand and told him that he doesn't have to be afraid to like her anymore. The two blush and accept their true feelings for one another.
In Jump Scare, It is heavily implied that the two have entered an official relationship as they have taken part in several dates together, albeit unsatisfactory due to Victor's self-inclusion. In a strange twist, Victor's attempts to spoil their relationship only ended in Isabella liking Valentino even more.
In Another Don, Valentino and Isabella were excited to attend an artisanal root-beer brewery together, but their date plans were overshadowed by Chata's missing water vessel. At first Valentino was sad to cancel their date plans, but then Isabella happily volunteered to help him. After interrogating Don and the frutas vendor, Isabella had to leave to meet her mom for "mani pedis", but promised Valentino that she will return when he's ready to solve the case. Isabella then gives him a kiss on the cheek, leaving him dazed and enamored. Later Victor discovers a monster disguised as Isabella removing fake skin. When it realized that Valentino saw her transform, it covered its face and fled the cave.
In Starry Eyes, Isabella appeared at Don Jalapeno's shop. Valentino rushed over to embrace his missing love interest, stricken with tears and concern. Isabella explained her absence to Valentino, which he believed, then she invited him to meet her mother. Despite Xochi and Victor's warnings, Valentino defended his "girlfriend" and walked off into the desert with Isabella. When they reached the desert, Valentino expressed his concern for Isabella, causing her to blush. She then took his hand and reassured Valentino that she was right there with him. However, Valentino's comments of her true form slowly upset and angered her, prompting her to attack in rage. After being stopped by the others, she reveals her true form once more. Once Valentino manages to pin her down, she reveals she is the real Isabella, before flying away, wiping a tear from her face.
In Star Child, She came back disguised as Guillermo to continue her mission to spy on Victor and Valentino. it is later revealed that she carved a heart with her and Valentino's initials into the side of an alleyway. throughout the night, Isabella attempted attack Valentino in various disguises, but when she realized that he still harbored feelings for her, she broke into tears and refused to hurt Valentino. After Isabella (disguised as Chata) saved Victor and Valentino from the possessed Miguelito, she tried to explain her good intentions to Valentino, but then he accused her of hold Chata hostage herself. Valentino lashed out at Isabella, proclaiming that he never wanted to see her again. Heartbroken by his words, Isabella flew away in tears once again. When Isabella returned to the Tzitzimitl realm, she seemingly discarded her feelings for Valentino and reinforced her loyalty to her mother.
However, even after the events of Star Child, Isabella couldn't bring herself to turn on Valentino.
In Fall Of The Fifth Sun, Isabella suddenly returned to save Valentino from Tez's Jaguar patrol only to be overpowered and captured. As Tez sent Isabella to her punishment, she warns the brothers that while she can't be saved, but they can still save Monte Macabre, and that Chata and Rafael can help them do it. In her final moments both Isabella and Valentino tried to reach out to each other, but to no avail. As Isabella crumbled into pieces, she tells Valentino that she was glad to have gotten to know him, before finally turned into a star.
Despite all of the ups and downs throughout the series, Isabella's feelings for Valentino were genuine and true to the very end.
Charlene[]
Although not much is known, Isabella seems to have a friendly relationship with Charlene. In Get Your Sea Legs, she whispers (most likely about Victor) things with Charlene making her awe, implying is Isabella most likely aware of Charlene's crush. Both were very excited together to a cenote in Cenote Seekers.
Rosa[]
Isabella and Rosa (Rosita) seem to enjoy each other's company, as Starry Night displayed this. In Folk Art Friends, both glimpse at one another after transforming back into humans after previously being cellos.
Tez[]
The specifics of their relationship are unknown, but Isabella works directly under Tez as one of his spies.Their alliance did not last long though, as Isabella's feelings for Valentino outweighed her orders from Tez. After her betrayal, Tez did not hesitate to kill her with his magic. He expressed enjoyment as Isabella crumbled to pieces and turned into a star.
